Very friendly atmosphere when we stopped here for lunch. We both had homity pie with a wonderful mixed leaf salad. The best salad .... yum. Good choice of proper teas, served in quaint teacups. There were five cakes on offer but alas we were too full. Excellent value for money. Will definitely be back again, and won't hesitate to mention it to friends.

We took a train ride to this lovely village and were pleased to find this delightful lunch stop. Mushroom soup with beetroot sour dough bread and unsalted butter, Home made quiche and salad, Pot of real peppermint tea for two, fruit cake, and trifle were all excellent...[and] good value.
Simply the best trifle in Cornwall ! The cakes are also to die for always with an interesting twist. The pestrami, horseradish and leek quiche is also superb. Well worth visiting Calstock for.

Really cosy cafe, nice to sit and let the time and the Tamar pass by. Highly recommended for its quiches also.
